Lonnie Richard Burbank, 57, of Pedee died Sept. 22 after suffering a long illness.
He was born to Aaron and Virginia Burbank in Portland.
Lonnie graduated from Dallas High School and married Pam Jones in 1973.
Following an accident while working at the Pedee Lumber Mill, he attended Oregon College of Education and later graduated from George Fox College.
Lonnie and Pam moved to Milwaukie, where Lonnie attended Western Evangelical Seminary and received his Masters of Divinity.
Lonnie was ordained as a minister of the Evangelical Church in 1983. He went on to direct the River Retreat House, where he and Pam lived and started their family. He then became the director of Jennings Lodge Conference Grounds. Lonnie and Pam moved in 1992 to Dayton, where he was the pastor at Dayton Evangelical Church and where they raised their two sons.
In 2003 they moved to Pedee, where Lonnie served as the pastor at Pedee Memorial Evangelical Church.
Lonnie loved the outdoors, his family and singing He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and telling jokes.
Survivors include his wife, Pam; sons, Jonathan (Maiya) of Portland and Michael of Sheridan; brothers, Larry and Les, both of Portland; and sister, Ann (Bob) Parker of Corvallis.
Celebration of his life was held Sept. 28 at Salem Evangelical Church and private interment was at Womer Cemetery in Pedee.

Gearld "Jerry" D. McCullough, 62, died Sept. 14 of cancer.
He was born in Salem and lived most of his life in Dallas.
He graduated from Dallas High School with the class of 1966. He served in the Air Force as a technical sergeant, with tours of duty in Korea, Thailand and England.
Jerry enjoyed fishing and movies. He made friends wherever he went and will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his wife and love of his life of more than 24 years, Shari McCullough; son, Bill (Angela) McCullough of Roseburg; mother, Mae McCullough of Monmouth; stepdaughters, Kim Roman of Spanish Forth, Ala., Karla Wilcox of Phoenix, Ariz., and Teena Smith of Louisville, Ky.; brother, Ben (Debbie) McCullough of Albany; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Harold Doxey, 82, of Dallas died Aug. 22 in Salem following a brief illness.
He was born in Killamarsh, England, on June 25, 1927, to John and Nellie Doxey.
He married Enid Mary Madden on May 16, 1953.
Harold worked in the coal mines of England most of his life. In 1976 the couple moved its family to Green River, Wyo., where he accepted a job as a foreman at Allied Chemical, a trona mine. Harold continued to work in the mine until he retired at the age of 64.
Harold and Enid moved to Dallas in 1994.
While in England, he was involved in the Mine Rescue Team, Creswell Colliery Band and the Amateur Dramatic Society. He had a passion for music and could always be heard singing or whistling a tune. He had recently joined the men's singing group "The Breeze."
He also loved sports and the water, especially the coast and cruises. Harold was a positive person with a terrific sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Enid, and brothers, Dennis and David.
Survivors include his son, Philip (Kathleen) Doxey of Dallas; daughters, Lynne (Bo) Clark of Green River, Wyo., and Alison (Doug) Covey of Junction City; sisters, Margaret Snell and Pauline Hartley, both of Worksop, England, and Joseline Barr of Creswell, England; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

Gladys Irene Coy, 101, of Dallas died Sept. 23.
She was born in Hatton, Wash., to John and Hazel Rayborn.
She married Glen Alfred Coy on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 1933, and spent many years as a homemaker. She did spend some time as a nurse's assistant and as a store clerk.
She enjoyed writing, Scrabble, Perry Mason, and time out for tea.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Karleen Olander of Dallas; sons, Sam Coy of Monmouth, Mike Coy of Kansas City, Mo., and Sid Coy of Wasilla, Alaska; sisters, Billy Blum of Puyallup, Wash., Peggy Thompson of Apache Junction, Ariz., Alma Rinear of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Lena McCart of Boise, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Sept. 28 at Hilltop Cemetery in Independence.

Lewis "Justice" Fockler IV, 20, of Monmouth died Sept. 22 at Western Oregon University in Monmouth.
He had just moved back to campus to begin his sophomore year there, where he was majoring in social sciences and music theory.
Justice was the son of Lewis Fockler of Tillamook and Rainy and Tim Marcum of Dallas.
Justice was born in Reno, Nev., and had lived in Akron, Ohio, Tillamook and Keizer before moving to Dallas.
Justice attended school in Dallas, where he participated in wrestling, baseball, soccer and football. During his grade-school years, he sang in the Salem Boys Choir. He sustained a neck injury while wrestling during his junior year of high school, which left him a quadriplegic.
As soon as he was able, he began a rigorous training program in Beaverton at Project Walk (Adapt Advanced) and with his personal trainer at his family's home. He continued to do this until his death. In June he and his caregiver spent two weeks in Santa Rosa, Calif., at the Bergin University of Canine Studies to receive his service dog, Marilyn. She was by his side at the time of his death.
Justice was a talented writer. He loved music, making videos, sports, and hanging out with his friends. He was especially close to his brother, Jeffery. Before his accident, his first love was fishing.
He was preceded in death by his step-grandpa, Willard Marcum.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Rainy and Tim Marcum of Dallas; his father, Lewis Fockler of Tillamook; brother, Jeffery Fockler, a student at Portland State University; half-brother, Gabriel of Tillamook; half-sisters Savannah and Gwyndolyn, both of Tillamook; grandfathers, Vern Holstad of Willamina and Louie Fockler of Akron; grandmothers, Shirley Holstad of Tillamook and Lorraine Harris of Salem; great-grandfather, Clifton Reynolds of McMinnville; and his faithful service dog, Marilyn.
Memorial service is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Western Oregon University in the Pacific Auditorium on Church Street in Monmouth.

Ruth Esther Edelman Larwood, 88, of Independence died Sept. 23.
She was born in Blind Slough in Clatsop County to Calvin and Isabelle Myers Edelman.
She moved in 1962 from Knappa to Independence, where she and her husband, James Larwood, owned a dairy just south of Independence. James died in 1986.
Ruth was a member of the Order Eastern Star, Chapter No. 38, in Astoria. She was also a member and longtime affiliate with 4-H. She enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her son, James C. Larwood of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Lillian L. Larwood of Albany; son, Larry L. Larwood of Independence; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At Ruth's request no service will be held.

Barbara Alice Pease, 82, of Dallas died Sept. 28.
She was born in Sultan, Wash., to John and Amelia Harris.
She moved as a child with her family to eastern Washington and spent her childhood there. In November of 1941 she moved with her family to Kings Valley and graduated from Kings Valley High School in 1944.
Barbara worked at Montgomery Wards until her marriage to William "Bill" R. Pease Jr. on May 20, 1945, in Corvallis. They made their home in Kings Valley until relocating to Pedee in 1949. They moved in 1967 to Dallas, where Bill was running a service station.
She was active in Pedee Women's Club, Extension Service, and with her children's schools. She joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1952 and remained actively involved throughout her life. She was a bookkeeper for the station and active in volunteer work.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, a sister, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; their children, Bill Pease III of Salem, Jerry Pease of Independence, Beth Linn of McMinnville, and Jewel Pease of Vancouver, Wash; 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Service is pending with Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center.
