   McGuire, a senior on the Dallas cross-country team (she plays on the soccer squad, too), shaved 29 seconds off her career-best time in the 5,000 meters when she ran a time of 18 minutes, 29 seconds, in Saturday's Saxon XC Invitational at Bush's Pasture Park. She finished the race, her first meet of the season, in second place.

Josh Hiebenthal

Perrydale High

   Hiebenthal, a senior running back for the Pirates football team, is an I-O Athlete of the Week for the second straight time after he rushed for 334 yards and 10 touchdowns on 25 carries in Perrydale's 82-42 win over Triangle Lake Friday. Hiebenthal also caught six passes for 38 yards to help lead the Pirates to 538 yards of total offense.
