The Pedee Women's Club recently voted to donate $500 from its annual Holiday Fair sales to Pedee School. The funds will be used to either upgrade computers or help with field trips.

The Pedee Women's Club Holiday Fair, held Nov. 10, had more people attend this year than they have in several years, including 34 bike riders, who always like to show up for a good lunch of soup and pie.

LaVerne Bennett has finally completed 65 beautiful wreaths that she made to sell for Relay For Life. She does this each year, taking orders in November for this worthwhile organization supporting cancer research. Each wreath is custom made to suit the buyer, of which I am one.

Alan and Sue Garton have finally arrived home for a month or so after making several trips this fall, including one with Sue's sisters, Nancy Dorey and Jan Barsi. They went to Salt Lake City, Las Vegas and St. George, visiting several state and national parks, including Zion, Cedar Breaks and Red Rock Canyon. The scenery in that area is quite spectacular.

Pedee Church will have a progressive dinner on Dec. 15, eating a course at each of four different homes, then finishing with a Christmas concert with Ron Diller and his acoustic guitar music at the church. Contact Heidi Russell at 503-838-2129 for details or to sign up to attend. If you don't wish to eat dinner, you are still welcome to the concert that evening. Ron's Christmas music is outstanding and is a beautiful way to celebrate Christmas.
