Dressel, a senior swimmer for Dallas, became the first district champion in program history with her win in the 100-yard breaststroke Saturday at the Mid-Willamette Conference championships. Dressel set two school records Saturday, one in the 100 breaststroke and another in the 50 freestyle, where she placed third. Dressel qualified for both events at Friday and Saturday's Class 5A state championships at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham.
