Paving Work May Cause Congestion In Monmouth

Paving work that began May 14 may cause traffic congestion on the Monmouth-Independence Highway (Ore. 51) between Gun Club Road and Boyd Lane through May 16.

MONMOUTH -- Paving work that began May 14 may cause traffic congestion on the Monmouth-Independence Highway (Ore. 51) between Gun Club Road and Boyd Lane.

A contractor for the Oregon Department of Transportation will grind out and replace damaged asphalt in preparation for a repaving project that will occur later this spring.

The project will restrict traffic to one lane between 8 a.m. and about 4 p.m., daily. The project will take about three days to complete.

ODOT encourages drivers to use extra caution and watch for workers and equipment in the roadway while driving through the workzone.
