Historian addresses watershed council

Holt talkes on history of the Luckiamute

MONMOUTH -- The Luckiamute Watershed Council will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 14 at Volunteer Hall in Monmouth.

Arlie Holt will discuss the history of Polk County. His presentation will begin at 7 p.m.

This council is one of many under the umbrella of the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board. It was created to discuss issues related to watershed uses and health, and to influence decisions affecting the watersheds.

The council meets monthly on the second Thursday. Members of the public are welcome.
