. The program is for 10-14 year-olds interested in learning to lift weights. The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. for four weeks, starting Tuesday, Oct. 8. The cost is $45 for one participant or $80 for two. "The goal of this class is to educate children about how to work out and why we do it," said World Gym's Tyson Cox. "We want to get them into the mind-set that working out and being healthy is not only good for you, but fun."

Kids,. Inc. of Dallas and the Dallas Mat Club will hold wrestling sign ups from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3 in the All-Purpose Room at Whitworth Elementary School

. The Mat Club this year is offering two different programs. There is an instructional program for beginning wrestlers in cooperation with Kids, Inc. There will be three weeks of practice followed by a tournament. The cost is $25 and includes a T-shirt. The regular Dallas Mat Club will practice and attend tournaments through the early part of 2003. The cost is $50 plus a required USA card for insurance purposes and tournament fees. Both programs will begin practice at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 21 at Dallas High School. Those wishing to participate with the Mat Club must register with the Mat Club and not at the Kids, Inc. office.
