Pedee women have successful bazaar

The Pedee Craft Fair by the Women's Club was a complete success.

There was a record number of vendors. Fair weather encouraged a large turn out for the crafts, candy and homemade soup and pie lunch.

When Juandeane Skidmore visited with some of the many guests, she learned that some make it a habit to come to the Pedee the second Saturday of November. Some have come from Salem and many from Dallas, Monmouth and Independence as well as Corvallis.

When the tickets were drawn, Kathleen Ross of Monmouth-Independence won the club's Christmas theme quilt. Wanda Graham of Monmouth won the yard ornament. Sandy McBeth Quiring of Dallas won a doily. Dale Brown of Corvallis won the flocked Christmas tree.

Betty Porter of Blodgett won the child's quilt. Becca Ronco of Pedee won the patchwork quilt. Amber Magnuson of Dallas won the candy. Ryan Jones of Pedee won the soccer ball. Joanne Jones of Dallas won the jewelry. Dean Anderson of Salem and Nick Unger won candy. Sheryl Coons of Dallas won a Christmas ornament and Dorothy McBeth of Pedee won the twig heart.

The club members thank all who helped to make the day such a real success.

The Thanksgiving worship service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Pedee Evangelical Church. The turkey and ham Thanksgiving dinner will be served at 11:30 a.m.

There will be no Sunday school classes, but be sure to be ready for the worship service.
