Memorial dedicated in Dallas

DALLAS -- As the national World War II memorial is dedicated Saturday, May 29, in Washington D.C., members of the American Legion in Dallas will dedicate seven plagues at 2 p.m. in front of the Polk County Courthouse.

Each plaque represents a branch of service and the home front. A ceremony will honoring all who served, past and present.

Major Arnold Strong, public information officer of the Oregon National Guard, will speak.
