Pedee women plan craft fair

Members of Pedee Women's Club are busy preparing for their craft fair Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Pedee fire hall.

They serve lunch at their clubhouse next to the fire hall. More information is available by calling Juandeane Skidmore at 503-838-5720.

The 11 students in the Child Evangelism Fellowship Release Class at the Pedee Evangelical Church met Oct. 22.

Leader Geri McKinney and helpers Susan Mulkey, Misty Stohl and Michelle McKinney had games and snacks.

Then gathered in the basement youth room. McKinney played the guitar as the group sang "I Lift Your Name on High," "Beautiful One" and "Blessed Be Your Name."

Mulkey led a Bible lesson based on Genesis 1.

As Stohl left the classroom, she fell and sprained her ankle.

Leo Wood provided special music at the Oct. 23 worship service at the Pedee Evangelical Church.

He played his guitar and sang "There's Room at the Cross for You" and "There's Something About That Name."

Leo and his wife, Vicki, attended with her mother, Pat Lyday.

They have been visiting relatives for about three weeks and plan to return home to Las Vegas this week.

The Rev. Lonnie Burbank thanked all for the "pastor appreciation" he received last Sunday.

His Oct. 23 message was "Christmas is Coming" from Matthew 25:31-40.

The pastor also called attention to the "Christmas in a Shoe Box" Project leaflet in the bulletin.

The goal is to have eight boxes filled and ready to send by Sunday, Nov 7.

These boxes are for the Evangelical Church Mission work in New Mexico.
