Family Night livens up New Year's Eve in Pedee

Family Night was held New Year's Eve at the Pedee Women's Club.

Those attending included Linda Chertudi of Salem, Pam, Maurice and Lois Dalton of Dallas and Teresa Gitomer of Charlotte, N.C.

Teresa spent the holidays with relatives in Pedee.

The new year was welcomed in quietly because of neighbors nearby.

Jim and Donna Wernz of Philomath and Doug and Jan McKirdie of Corvallis spent New Year's Day with Paul and Arlene Kovash. They watched football.

Betty Ronco celebrated her birthday Dec. 29 with relatives.

Betty, Paul, Brenda and Renee Ronco spent Dec. 29 and 30 in Depoe Bay with a friend.

Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren had a family birthday dinner at Cynthian Catering in Dallas Jan. 2.

Paul's sister, Olive Dasch of Salem, joined them for the birthday cake.

The Bible Study Women who meet on Tuesdays at the Pedee Church helped Aaron Burbank take out the Christmas trees and put away the other decorations.

Aaron Burbank and Dan Hayes assisted the Rev. Lonnie Burbank at the first worship service of the new year.

Several people mentioned the pleasure of having their families home during the holidays.

Carla Burbank asked for prayers for her daughter's mother-in-law, Patricia Taylor, who is having surgery.

The pastor's message was "A Resolution to Keep...Be Ready!" based on I John 1:5-10.

The service closed with Communion.
