POLK COUNTY -- The Rickreall Watershed Council invites area residents to the first in a quarterly series of "Community Watershed Forums," at 7 p.m. April 26 in the Dallas City Hall council chambers.

At each quarterly forum, participants will hear about the restoration and education projects of the Rickreall Watershed Council, and have a chance to ask questions or share ideas with the coordinator and volunteer board of directors.

This first forum will feature a presentation from City of Dallas staff on planning and options for the future of the Dallas water supply, including information about the new Aquifer Storage and Recovery well system (ASR).

Future Community Watershed Forums may include topics such as resources available for habitat restoration, how to help your watershed at home, and natural gardening.

For more information: Rickreall Watershed Council, 503-623-9680, Ext. 112, or rickreallwc@hotmail.com.
