POLK COUNTY - Five people were arrested April 8 in connection with a drug trafficking operation based out of Dallas, officials said.
The Polk County Interagency Narcotics Team (POINT), with assistance from several federal, county and municipal law enforcement agencies, culminated a two-month investigation into cocaine and marijuana dealing by serving warrants at six residences in Dallas and Keizer.
Police seized drugs and drug paraphernalia, a gun and several thousand dollars in cash. A child at one of the properties raided, 245 SW Walnut St., Apt. 4, was taken into custody by the Department of Human Services., said Polk Sgt. Mike Holsapple.
The main suppliers were nabbed in the parking lot of a gas station at 5322 Salem-Dallas Highway, Holsapple said.
Timothy Charles Rivard, 24, of Keizer and Brandon Simkins, 23, of Dallas, were both charged with multiple counts of unlawful delivery of cocaine and criminal conspiracy to deliver cocaine.
Rivard also faces charges of possession and unlawful delivery of substantial quantity of cocaine. He and Simkins are currently lodged in Polk County Jail on bails of $440,000 and $300,000, respectively.
Taylor Hill, 20, of Dallas was arrested for unlawful possession and delivery of cocaine, conspiracy to deliver cocaine and marijuana and felony possession of a firearm.
Dallas residents Sarah Ruby Denker, 23, and Aaron Phillip Olson, 22, were both charged with unlawful possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.
POINT also made several arrests late last month in an unrelated investigation in Willamina and Grand Ronde.
On March 25, police arrested Mary Rickard, 48, in Willamina for methamphetamine possession, methamphetamine delivery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Lila Ruth Musso, 38, of Grand Ronde was arrested on March 26 for selling the prescription drugs Oxycodone, Vicodan, Oxazepam and methamphetamine. A man in her home, Frank Leroy Copeland, 45, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Michael Hedrick, 46, of Grand Ronde was arrested for delivery and possession of marijuana and hashish at his home in the 46300 block of LaChance Road.
