Harvey - 60th

Frank and Alice Harvey of Dallas celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with an afternoon cruise on the Willamette Queen, a renewing of their wedding vows and a family dinner.

Francis "Frank" O. Harvey and Alice Rose Vieira were married April 23, 1948, at Falls City Methodist Church.

Attendants were Frank's sister, Jeanette, and Alice's brother, Stanley.

Having lived in Valsetz from 1948 to 1955, they moved to Dallas.

Frank worked for Valsetz Lumber Company and retired from Willamette Industries in 1984 after 27 years.

Alice worked for Kelly Farquhar for eight years, Oregon Bank for 20 years and retired in 1985. She continues a 15-year career with part-time work at H & R Block during the tax season.

The couple collectively enjoys RVing and camping with the local chapter of Polk About Sams, gardening, woodworking and needlework.

Their family includes Vernon and Dawn Harvey of Prescott, Ariz., Allen and Grace Hibbs of Dallas, Wally and Pamela Kundert of Sisters, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Magnuson - 50th

Jack and Carol Magnuson of Dallas celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an April weekend family celebration at the Oregon Coast.

Jack Magnuson and Carol Graham were married April 18, 1958, at the First Baptist Church in Lebanon.

After living in several towns in the Willamette Valley, the couple moved to West Salem in 1965 and has resided in Dallas since 1971.

Jack, a certified public accountant, retired in 1994. Carol worked in the medical and education fields, retiring in 1996.

Jack is involved with several veterans' organizations and enjoys gardening and sailing. Carol enjoys quilting and her grandchildren. Both participate in Rotary.

Their family includes Douglas and Kim Magnuson of Deming, N.M., David and Barbara Magnuson of Albany, Debra of Beaverton, and eight grandchildren.
