Pentacle Theatre Slates Eight-Play 2009 Season

WEST SALEM -- Eight plays have been scheduled for 2009 -- the 55th anniversary season -- at the Pentacle Theatre.

WEST SALEM -- Eight plays have been scheduled for 2009 -- the 55th anniversary season -- at the Pentacle Theatre.

The Pentacle's 55th season opens Jan. 23 with "Death of a Salesman." This timeless American classic written by Arthur Miller runs through Feb. 14.

The 2009 lineup also includes:

* "Seussical," a musical by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, March 6-28.

* "Enchanted April," a romantic comedy by Matthew Barber, April 17-May 9.

* "The Retreat from Moscow," a drama by William Nicholson, May 29-June 30.

* "Comic Potential," a comedy by Alan Ayckbourn, July 10-Aug. 1.

* "My Fair Lady," the beloved Broadway musical by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, Aug. 21-Sept. 12.

* "Stop Kiss," a drama by Diana Son, Oct. 2-24.

* "Reckless," a Christmas comedy by Craig Lucas, Nov. 13-Dec. 5.

Season tickets to all eight shows are priced from $113 to $132. Pentacle memberships to help support the cost of theatrical productions is also available.
