Polk Soil and Water Conservation District is hosting a native plant workshop on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Polk County Fairgrounds in Rickreall.

Polk Soil and Water Conservation District is hosting a native plant workshop on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Polk County Fairgrounds in Rickreall.

Speakers will cover a variety of topics, including: "The Nuts and Bolts of Native Plants," "Flora and Feathers: Birds and Native Plants," "A Bee's Needs: Native Pollinators," and "Ethnobotany: People and Plant."

The workshop is free and open to the public, though participants are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food donation for Marion-Polk Food Share. Refreshments will be available.
