Nicolas Vargas-Castillo, 29, of Corvallis on July 2 for failure to appear.

Jan Perry McMahan, 18, of Independence in the 300 block of East Powell Street on July 2 for disorderly conduct.

Jill Marie Grim, 26, of Independence at the intersection of Main and Craven streets for failure to carry/present an operator's license.

POLK COUNTY COURT

Sentencings

Isaac Bowers, 29, Willamina, pled guilty June 26 to interfering with making a report. He was sentenced to 14 days in jail and a $200 fine.

Jerry Dean Matthews, 60, Dallas, pled guilty June 27 to driving under th einfluence of intoxicants and was sentenced to 18 months probation, 120 hours of community service and a $1,500 fine. Matthews' driver's license was also suspended for three years.

Deanne Lynne Toms, 47, Dallas, pled guilty June 27 to official misconduct in the first degree, negotiating a bad check and theft in the second degree. She was sentenced to two days in jail, 12 months probation, 120 hours of community service, $481 in court costs and $320 in restitution.

Howard Gilbert, 39, West Salem, pled guilty July 1

to felony criminal mischief, failure to perform the duties of a driver and DUII. He was sentenced to 24 months probation, 40 days of jail suspended for compliance, 160 hours restitution, one year driver's license suspension and $3,252.70 in court costs and restitution.
