Dallas street resurfacing begins

DALLAS -- Work started this week on several street resurfacing projects in the Dallas area.

DALLAS -- Work started this week on several street resurfacing projects in the Dallas area.

The city of Dallas and Oregon Department of Transportation have contracted with North Santiam Paving Co. to complete the 2009 Street Resurfacing Project.

Projects and schedules include:

Washington Street, from Jefferson Street to Uglow Avenue

-- Work began Aug. 24. Road grinding is scheduled to start today (Wednesday, Aug. 26), with final paving Monday, Aug. 31, and Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Orchard Drive, from Kings Valley Highway to the city limits

-- Work began Aug. 24. Road grinding is scheduled to start today (Wednesday, Aug. 26), with final paving Sept. 16-17.

LaCreole Drive, from Ellendale Avenue to Walnut Avenue

-- Work began Aug. 24. Road grinding is scheduled Thursday, Aug. 27, with final paving Sept. 14-15.

Bridlewood Drive, from Crestwood Place to Oakwood Drive

-- Work began Aug. 24. Road grinding is scheduled Friday, Aug. 28, and Monday, Aug. 31. Final paving is Sept. 10-11.

Cherry Street, from Main to 11th streets

-- Project begins Thursday, Aug. 27. Grinding is scheduled Friday, Aug. 28, and Thursday, Sept. 3. Final paving is Sept. 9.

Maple Street, from Fairview Avenue to the 1100 block of Maple

-- Work begins Monday, Aug. 31. Grinding is set for Monday, Aug. 31, and Tuesday, Sept. 1. Final paving is Wednesday, Sept. 2.

West Ellendale Avenue, from James Howe Road to the city limits

-- Work begins Sept. 7. Grinding and final paving is scheduled Sept. 8.
