Linscheid -- 65th

Oliver and Edna Linscheid of Dallas will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Sunday, July 12, with a family dinner hosted by their children at Murphy's Grill in Dallas.

Oliver Linscheid and Edna Janzen were married July 12, 1944, at Grace Mennonite Church in Dallas.

They have resided in Polk County their entire married life.

Oliver, a commercial carpenter by trade, retired in the 1980s. Edna is a homemaker.

Their children include Joyce Olfert, Beverly Randolph, Richard Linscheid, Myra Hill and Ronald Linscheid. They have 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Clift -- 50th

Barry and Margo Clift of Dallas will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a dessert reception on Friday, July 10, in Dallas.

Friends and family will gather to honor the couple from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the home of Ben and Julie Thackeray, 1680 SW Clay St.

Barry Jay Clift and Margo Gunter were married on Oct. 17, 1959, in Lewiston, Idaho. Bishop Eldy Clark officiated. Attendants were Jim St. Claire and Sherron Gunter Worster.

The Clifts have resided in Polk County for 21 years.

Barry retired in 1974 as a deputy sheriff. Margo is a lifelong homemaker.

The couple is active at the Dallas Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Barry is the financial clerk. Margo teaches teenage Sunday school. They also enjoy genealogy.

Their family includes Curtis and Peyton Cole of Monmouth, Jim and JayLene Seeley of Albany, Joseph and Mariam Clift of Caldwell, Idaho, Lisa Clift of Dallas, Josh and Chrissta Hinze of Round Rock, Texas, Eric and Brandi Devericks of San Clemente, Calif., Matthew and Andrea Zinn of Independence, Byron and Tara Morgan of Austin, Texas, Kevin and Jensine Hall of Lynnwood, Wash., and the late Joshua Clift.

They have 27 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
