Body of missing hunter located in southwest Polk County

POLK COUNTY -- Searchers have found the body of a Logsden man who was reported missing Oct. 3 while hunting in a remote section of southwest Polk County.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Dustin Gibson, 67, was found deceased by searchers. Sheriff Bob Wolfe said that family and friends had continued searching in the area of Cougar Creek and located the body at about 11:45 a.m. Friday.
Cougar Creek is located between Cougar Ridge and Little Grass Mountain, and is a tributary of the Luckimaute River.
Wolfe said his department was in the process of sending in recovery teams. No other information was available.
Authorities had suspended their search for the hunter late on Wednesday.
