Vendors sought for home and garden show

RICKREALL -- Vendors can now reserve space for the third annual Polk Home and Garden Show.

The event, hosted by Polk Productions and the Polk County Fairgrounds, is scheduled May 14-16 at the fairgrounds. Vendor space cost is $250.

Marquis Spa, Make-A-Wish mark 10 years

INDEPENDENCE -- February marks the 10th anniversary of the sponsorship between Independence-based hot tubs manufacturer Marquis Spas and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. The sponsorship has helped close to 400 children with life-threatening medical conditions and generated more than $2.4 million in spa donations and discounts for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, noted said John Schrenk, president of Marquis Spas.

Washington Street pub adds karaoke

DALLAS -- Washington Street Steakhouse & Pub has added karaoke in its pub every Wednesday through Saturday starting at 9 p.m. Washington Street's karaoke system has up to 25,000 songs available.
