7/28 UPDATE: Driver cited in accident south of Monmouth

POLK COUNTY -- A driver was cited for reckless driving following a Tuesday morning, July 27, three vehicle traffic crash on Highway 99W south of Monmouth that resulted in five people being transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Trial date delayed in manslaughter case

7/28 Correction

In a story headlined "Free health clinic idea being explored," which appeared on Page 2A of the July 7 issue of the Itemizer-Observer, a reporter erred in the description of a relocation of Salem Alliance Church's free clinic from Walker Middle School in West Salem. Salem Free Medical Clinic moved to a temporary Northeast Salem site in October 2009. It will move to a permanent location on Broadway Street this September, and keep its other location open part time. The I-O regrets the error.
