Dragon volleyball camp is set for July 19-21

The Central Senior American Junior Baseball Oregon team recently won its division and will enter the playoffs with a 13-0 record.

The Summerfest Fun Run will be held July 31.

There is 5K race for adults and a half-mile Fun Run for kids. The entry fees are $15 for the 5K ($10 for students) and $5 for the Fun Run. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Dallas Radio Shack parking lot. The Fun Run starts at 9:45 a.m. followed by the 5K at 10 a.m. For more information: Sandy Teal, 503-910-9787.

Three sessions of Wildcat Hoop Camp are coming soon

. Girls in grades 4-8 will meet from July 19-22. Boys and girls in grades K-3 and boys in grades 4-8 will meet from July 26-30. The K-3 group will meet daily from 8:30 a.m.-11 a.m. at Whitworth Elementary. Boys and girls in grades 4-8 will meet from 12:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. at Dallas High School. The cost for each session is $50 and includes a camp T-shirt. Registration forms are available at Whitworth, the Dallas Aquatic Center and the Dallas Radio Shack. . The camp is for grades 6-8, and the cost is $40. Registration forms are available at the high school or at Dallas Dragon Volleyball on Facebook.

Dallas Dragon Youth Football Camp will be held July 27-30 at Dallas High School

. The non-contact camp is for grades 2-7, and the cost is $30. Registration forms are available at the high school, LaCreole Middle School and the Kids, Inc. office. The Fifth Annual Scramble for "The Gate" will be held Aug. 14 at Oak Knoll Golf Course

A Dallas High School Alumni Golf Tournament will be played July 31 at Oak Knoll Golf Course

Registration for Central Youth Sports football is being held Wednesdays from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the CYS office

. Grades 3-4 play flag football. Grades 5-6 play tackle football. Practices are held locally, but most games are in Salem. Volunteer coaches are needed. For more information: Stacy Olson, 503-931-1471.

Jason Buce Wrestling Camp will be held July 24-25 at Dallas High School

. The camp is for all ages, and the cost is 5 cents. Campers will meet from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. July 24 and from 9 a.m.-noon July 25. Buce was a three-time state champion at Dallas in the early 1990s and went on to earn All-American honors at Oregon State. He currently is an assistant coach at Wilsovnille High School.

Swimming lessons are being held at Western Oregon's Wolverton Memorial Pool

The Dallas Booster Club is offering sports physicals for middle school and high school athletes

. The physicals will be held Aug. 7 from 8 a.m.-noon at 201 SE Washington St. The fee is $25, which will be donated to the Booster Club. Local physicians and therapists are donating their services. Anyone participating in a school sport, starting in the sixth grade, needs a sports physical at least once every two years.

The Seventh Annual Mid-Willamette Valley Services Foundation Golf Tournament will be held July 23 at Oak Knoll Golf Course

. The entry fee for the four-person scramble is $75 per person. It includes green fee, cart and a burger (veggie or regular) after play. Play will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Hole sponsors and gift donors also are needed. Valley Services is a nonprofit organization that helps older adults in Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties. For more information: 503-304-3473.
