POLK COUNTY -- The Salem man involved in a crash on June 6 on Highway 223 near Rickreall that claimed the life of a Dallas woman was arrested last week on several charges.
On June 12, Oregon State Police charged Brock R. Britt, 24, with first-degree manslaughter, second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, reckless driving, driving under the influence of intoxicants and recklessly endangering another person, an OSP press release said.
OSP had arrested Britt on a Polk County warrant on June 8. Britt was in custody when the additional charges were filed.
According to OSP's preliminary investigation, Britt's Isuzu Trooper drifted over the highway center line while heading west near Rickreall Road and struck Lisa Koloen's Chevrolet Suburban nearly head-on. Koloen died at the scene.
Britt is begin held at Polk County jail on $350,000 bail.
