DALLAS -- The man accused of numerous sex offenses against a teenager pleaded not guilty in Polk County Circuit Court on June 24.
Jerry Carmickle, 22, has been charged with first-degree attempted rape, first-degree sex abuse, first-degree sodomy, first-degree burglary and third-degree sodomy, all felonies.
He was also charged with fourth-degree assault and first-degree criminal trespass, which are misdemeanors.
A Polk County grand jury heard evidence in the case and indicted Carmickle on the charges June 23.
A pretrial hearing in the case is scheduled for July 9. Trial is set for Aug. 4.
