3/12 BREAKING NEWS: Monmouth teen reported as runaway

MONMOUTH -- Monmouth Police are asking for help in finding a 15-year-old male who has been reported as a runaway.

On Friday, March 12, the family of Tanner Norton reported him as a runaway with the Monmouth Police Department. Norton left his home in the 100 block of South Edwards Road between 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 11.

He was reported to be wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and black shoes. He was in possession of a large, light blue bag.

Norton is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair, but he recently shaved his head. He has a scar on his right hand.

Norton had made statements to friends in recent months about running away to live with a girlfriend in Ontario, Canada. However, this female's identity is unknown.

If anyone has information as to Tanner's whereabouts, they are asked to contact the Monmouth Police Department at 503-838-1109.
