Sherry Ellen Pfaff of Independence and Michael David Lobato Jr. of Independence were married on Aug. 14 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Independence.

Father Carl Gimpl officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Tom and Carol Pfaff of Independence. The groom is the son of Michael Sr. and Sandra Lobato of Independence.

Matron of honor was Sarah Kamasz. Bridesmaids were Stacie Creighton, Sybil Pfaff, Samantha Pfaff and Jenean Lobato. Flower girls were Dru Creighton and Ragen Wolfe.

Best man was Ryan McKee. Groomsmen were Myron Hoeckle, Kevin Weins, Travis Lobato and Scott Pfaff. Ring bearer was Oliver Kamasz.

Sherry and Michael are 2003 graduates of Central High School in Independence.

Sherry, a 2007 graduate of Oregon State University in Corvallis with a bachelor's degree in business administration, is a payroll specialist for TNT Management Resources in Salem.

Michael, a 2010 graduate of DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, Wash., with a bachelor's degree in real-time interactive simulation, is a developer for Emberex Inc. in Eugene.

The newlyweds honeymooned at Sandals in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They make their home in Independence.
