Spaghetti feed,

open house set

PERRYDALE -- Perrydale School will hold a spaghetti feed and open house Thursday, Sept. 23.

Both events will be held at the school, 7445 Perrydale Road.

Proceeds from the spaghetti dinner, which will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., benefit the class of 2011. Admission is $5 per person or $15 per family for up to five people.

Following the dinner, an open house will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. The event is an opportunity for parents to meet their children's teachers and tour classrooms and the school.

Fundraiser set for

Perrydale sports

PERRYDALE -- Sports programs are the focus of the first Perrydale Athletic Booster Silent Auction and Dinner fundraiser, scheduled Saturday, Sept. 25.

The event takes place in the Arts & Crafts Building at the Polk County Fairgrounds, 520 S. Pacific Highway (99W), Rickreall, and begins at 5 p.m.

Admission is $30 per person. This is an adults-only event and will include music, dinner and an auction. Proceeds will benefit Perrydale School sports programs.

ACADEMIC HONORS

Polk students earn

recognition at OSU

CORVALLIS -- Several Polk County residents qualified for inclusion on the 2010 summer term scholastic honor roll at Oregon State University. Students must maintain a grade-point average of 3.5 or better and carry at least 12 graded course hours to qualify.

Local students honored include:

Dallas -- Straight-A Average:

Jessica C. Udell, sr., Spanish.

3.5 GPA or better:

Jessica L. Link, sr., animal sciences; and Shelby M. Villella, jr., sociology.

Monmouth -- Straight-A Average:

Rachel N. Barton, nondegree undergraduate, nondegree liberal arts; and Hattie G. Olson, sr., apparel design.

3.5 GPA or better:

Julianna S. Pilafian, sr., nutrition.
