DALLAS -- The Dallas High School Robotics Club will host a scrimmage with other clubs from across the state on Saturday, Jan. 22.

The scrimmage will take place in the DHS Forum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lee Jones, DHS robotics club adviser, said he extended an invitation to all teams in the state and expects at least 10 to attend. The scrimmage is an opportunity for teams to fine-tune and test their robots on a competition field.

The event is free and open to the public.

Jones said with most tournaments taking place in the Portland area, this is a chance for Dallas-area residents to see the robots the teams are building and what they are designing them to do in an informal setting.
