Kyle L. Hilliard, 32, of Independence died June 27.

He was born in Salem to Royal and Linda Hilliard.

Kyle was raised in Independence and graduated from Central High School in 1996.

Kyle had worked the last six years at Oregon Beverage Co., where he was a foreman, delivery driver, bartender and helped set up events.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda.

Survivors include his father, Royal Hilliard; sister, Kari; brother, Kevin; and his two sons, Anthony Hilliard and Jameson Loftus. All are of Independence.

Graveside service was July 1 at Fir Crest Cemetery in Monmouth. A reception followed at the Independence Elks Lodge.

June 28, 2011

Franklin G. Allen, 76, of Dallas died June 28 in Salem.

Inurnment will be in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

Eleanor F. Pritchard

Dec. 22, 1935 - June 21, 2011

Eleanor F. Pritchard, 75, of Dallas died June 21.

She was born in Clarkston, Wash., to Arthur and Mildred Roberts.

She married Norman Pritchard on Oct. 31, 1969. The couple worked on farms in Florida, Arizona and Washington, settling later in the Salem and Dallas areas.

Eleanor was known for always having crossword puzzles nearby. She loved shopping for bargains at Goodwill and garage sales. She wasn't one to shy away from a good scary movie.

Survivors include her children, Kathy Martin of Independence, James Pritchard and Millie Martinez, both of Salem, and Jaunda Ladd of Lyons; brother, Dwaine Roberts of Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service is Saturday, July 9, at 4:30 p.m. at the Harvest Time Pentecostal Church, 600 16th Street NE, Salem.

Edwin G. Meadors

Edwin G. Meadors, 90, of Dallas died June 24 in Dallas.

He was born to Remmel Meadors and Willie Dean Meadors in Lafayette, Ark.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge in 1945.

He had retired as a mechanic for C&F Trucking in California.

He married his wife, Vivian, in 1962 in San Leandro, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian, in 2006.

Survivors include his son, Gerald (Carol) of Manteca, Calif.; stepchildren, Diana (Don) Kosanke and Ross (Linda) Phipps, all of Dallas, Roberta Hicks of Newark, Calif., and Chris Williams of Dana Point, Calif.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

No service will be held at his request.

Lucille Helen Holt, 99, of Bellevue, Wash., died July 2.

She was born in Red Bluff, Calif., to Friend and Lerlein Patterson.

She had been a longtime resident of Hillsboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn.

Survivors include her son, Robert (Sonia) Holt; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

No service is planned.
