MAK Grills garners

two industry honors

DALLAS -- MAK Grills is heating up the grilling industry, having won two awards recognizing product innovation and quality in its line of smoker grills.

The Dallas company that started manufacturing grills in July 2009 took home two awards in the 2011 Vesta Awards Competition. MAK Grills' "2 Star General Grill" wood pellet grill won the Best-in-Show Award in the outdoor room products category and Best Barbecue in the other fuels category.

"Needless to say, we are humbled and excited over winning these awards," said Bob Tucker, co-owner of MAK Grills. "These awards are confirmation of the thought and engineering that went into the 2 Star General Grill. It's a standout product within the barbecue grill category. For us, it's like winning the Super Bowl."

More than 50 companies entered 87 different products in the 11th Vesta Awards Competition, sponsored by Hearth & Home Magazine, a hearth, barbecue and patio trade publication.
