DALLAS -- The West Valley Hospital Foundation has added new members Cheryle Kennedy and Darin Silbernagel to its board of directors.
Kennedy, a Dallas resident, is currently serving her fourth consecutive three-year term on the Tribal Council of the Grand Ronde Tribe. Prior to being elected to the council, she worked for 30 years as a health care administrator, including 15 years as the Grand Ronde Tribe's health director.
Kennedy has received numerous awards, including being recognized by the Oregon Department of Health as an outstanding leader.
Since 1989, Silbernagel, a Monmouth resident, has been the director of business affairs at Western Oregon University. He is a member of the Monmouth City Council, and along with his wife, Lisa, was honored in April by the Monmouth/Independence Chamber of Commerce as First Citizens in 2010.
