DALLAS -- Student registration for the 2012-13 school in Dallas School District schools begins next week.
DALLAS HIGH SCHOOL
School starts Sept. 4 for freshmen and all Morrison Campus students. School begins Sept. 5 for grades 10, 11, and 12.
Registration hours Aug. 20-24:
* Monday -- 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
* Tuesday -- 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
* Wednesday -- 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
* Thursday -- 11 a.m - 7 p.m.
* Friday -- 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
All necessary forms for free or reduced lunch, parking, Home Access, and listserv will be available at registration. Returning students and incoming freshmen can pick up their schedules and pay fees during registration hours. Parents can update student contact information and incoming students can receive locker assignments. Counselors will be available to build schedules for new students on all five days.
Fall sports registration continues this week through Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Registration will be at the athletic office, but may move to the main office for Wednesday and Thursday if there is a large turnout. Signs will be posted. Sports-related paperwork and payments will be due at this time. The athletic office will be closed on Friday.

LACREOLE MIDDLE SCHOOL
Students currently enrolled in the school district, Aug. 21-22:
Tuesday -- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday -- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 7 p.m.
Students new to the school district:
Thursday -- 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There is an annual towel fee of $14 for seventh-and eighth-graders, $7 for sixth-graders. The student agenda fee is $8. PE uniforms are $16 or $8 for each piece purchased separately. There is an optional $18 fee for a school yearbook. Lost PE locks will be assessed a $6 fee. Parents can also make a separate purchase of lunch tickets at this time and applications for free/reduced lunch program will be available.
Bring child's birth certificate, immunization record and Social Security number for registration.
Lyle Elementary and Oakdale Heights Elementary schools
Both schools will be open for student registration from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended office hours for registration Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Kindergarten students will have a staggered start, with half beginning on Sept. 4 and the other half attending Sept. 5. All students will attend Sept. 5 and 6. All other elementary students will begin school Sept. 4.
Whitworth will be open for student registration from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended office hours for registration Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
After-school care (Latchkey) will be provided for elementary-aged students. Salem Child Development Center Inc. will be providing the after-school school-age program for the 2012-13 school year. Registration forms are available at each elementary school office. Enrollment forms are also available on the Dallas School District website at www.dallas.k12.or.us.
The student accident insurance (limited benefits) program is offered on an optional basis. Proof of medical insurance is required for athletic participation. Forms are available at school offices.
