Omlid, a 6-foot-4 senior forward for the Panthers, scored 54 points in two wins last week. In Friday's 71-32 victory over Taft, Omlid netted a game-high 28 points, including two 3-pointers. In a 59-43 win over Cascade Jan. 24, Omlid poured in 26 points, including one from behind the arc. Omlid, who has already signed to play at West Point, is currently averaging 20.8 points per game for the 14-1 Panthers, ranked No. 2 in the latest Oregon School Activities Association power rankings.
Potter, a senior from Springfield, (Thurston High School) earned a NCAA provisional qualifying standard in the triple jump at the University of Washington Indoor Invitational Saturday. Her leap of 39, feet, 1 inch, broke her own school record by three inches and was the second-longest mark in Great Northwest Athletic Conference history. She now stands seventh in Division II in the triple jump.
