DALLAS -- The Dallas City Council will hold a hearing for the appeal of the city's planning commission approval of Walmart's expansion plans on March 5 during its regular meeting.
While the public is welcome to attend, the hearing will only accept testimony from the parties involved in the appeal, said Dallas Community Development Director Jason Locke.
"This is not a public hearing where people can testify," he said.
A notice of appeal from Eugene attorney Sean T. Malone representing appellants Lydia Graber, Neighbors for Dallas, Jeremiah Mulder and Randall Houser was received by the city on Feb. 2.
Plans for Walmart's proposed 18,317-square-foot expansion and parking lot remodel were approved by the Dallas Planning Commission on Jan. 10.
The appeal listed concerns regarding stormwater, land-use zoning and traffic impact issues.
The council will meet March 5 at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 187 SE Court St.
