RICKREALL -- The Polk County Livestock Association will hold its annual dinner and business meeting Jan. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Arts and Crafts Building at the Polk County Fairgrounds and Event Center in Rickreall.
Dr. Jim Males of the OSU Animal Science Department is the guest speaker. He will look at the future of animal agriculture and how this relates to changes in the animal science department.
The business meeting will include the presentation of the Livestock Family of the Year by last year's recipients, Scott and Gail Bennett. In addition, there will be reports from the 2011 Youth Livestock Auction, livestock at large regulations, election of officers, and a review of 2011 activities.
A tri-tip dinner will be provided by the Dallas FFA at a cost of $15 each.
