EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings signed ex-Central High lineman Jeff Charleston to a one-year deal, which was announced June 28.

The 29-year-old defensive lineman spent the last four seasons with the New Orleans Saints, serving as a backup. He had one sack in 10 games and has eight in his five-year career.

Charleston played three seasons for Western Oregon University and one for Idaho State before being signed as a free agent by Indianapolis in 2007.

The Vikings released defensive tackle Terrell Resonno to make room for Charleston.
