RICKREALL -- Eola Hills Wine Cellars is still accepting registration for the 16th annual Bike Oregon Wine Country rides taking place this summer.
And early birds who sign up by Monday will receive a discount.
Staged every Sunday in August and attracting more than 1,000 cyclists, the rides feature scenic routes through Willamette Valley wine country. Stops at several area wineries are included, as are a boxed lunch en route and barbecue dinner upon returning to Eola Hills.
Support vehicles will circle the routes to assist riders and ferry any wines purchased at participating wineries back to Eola Hills.
The event is open to all levels of riders, with route options varying from 45 to 70 miles. Each ride begins at 8 a.m. and typically concludes at about 4 or 5 p.m.
Eola Hills Wine Cellars is located at 501 S. Pacific Highway (99W) in Rickreall, across the street from the Polk County Fairgrounds and Event Center.
The registration fee is $75, which covers lunch, dinner and ride support.
