MONMOUTH -- Western Oregon University has been picked to finish sixth in the annual preseason Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's basketball coaches' poll.
The Wolves, coming off a fourth-place finish (11-7 GNAC, 18-10 overall) last season, received 41 total points in voting by the 10 GNAC coaches.
Seattle Pacific received eight of the 10 first-place votes and is picked to win the conference title, receiving 97 total points. Defending NCAA Division II national champion Western Washington received the other two first-place votes and was picked to finish second (90 points).
The rest of the predicted finish in order of points received was Central Washington, Alaska Anchorage, Montana State Billings, Western Oregon, Northwest Nazarene, Alaska Fairbanks and Saint Martin's (tied for eighth), and Simon Fraser.
