MONMOUTH -- Western Oregon University has been picked to finish eighth in the annual preseason Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's basketball coaches' poll.
The Wolves, coming off a seventh-place finish (6-12 GNAC, 7-21 overall) last season, received 30 total points in voting by the 10 GNAC coaches.
Western Washington received seven of the 10 first-place votes and is picked to win the league title, receiving 96 total points. Simon Fraser received the remaining three first-place votes and was picked to finish second (93 points).
The rest of the predicted finish in order of points received was Seattle Pacific, Montana State Billings, Alaska Anchorage, Northwest Nazarene, Central Washington, Western Oregon, Saint Martin's and Alaska Fairbanks.
