Efforts to save Falls City library continuing

FALLS CITY -- The Wagner Community Library in Falls City has launched another fundraising effort, this time using the "crowdfunding" website, danger of closing, the library has a goal to raise as much as $20,000, though less may be required, to keep the doors open while other options to support the facility are explored.So far, the fundraising has generated nearly $1,300, enough to keep the library open for certain through September.Wagner has established an agreement with the Falls City School District, which can no longer afford to support the library, to keep it open month-to-month, so long as resources are available.Sites like allow individuals or groups to set up sites appealing to the public at large for donations.However, supporters have not given up on more traditional methods of raising money.The library will hold a gift basket raffle at Saturday's Bad to the Bone festival in downtown Falls City.
