College Football: Western Oregon Trio Set To Play In Usa Freedom Bowl

MONMOUTH -- Western Oregon University senior football players Scotland Foss, Bryce Peila and Gavin Drake have been selected to play in the annual USA Freedom Bowl in Virginia Beach, Va.

MONMOUTH -- Western Oregon University senior football players Scotland Foss, Bryce Peila and Gavin Drake have been selected to play in the annual USA Freedom Bowl in Virginia Beach, Va.

The all-star contest, which will be played Monday at 10 a.m., is focused on highlighting the accomplishments and talents of small college football players from around the country.

Peila and Foss each earned first-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference all-league honors as Peila was named to the first-team squad for the third consecutive season after leading the team with 74 tackles and five interceptions. Foss earned his second consecutive first-team selection after ranking second on the squad with 67 tackles, including three sacks. Drake heads to the USA Freedom Bowl after earning second-team all-league honors after registering 20 tackles and 3.5 sacks during the 2012 season.
