Poinsettia orders taken by wrestlers

DALLAS -- Members of the Dallas High School wrestling team are accepting orders for holiday poinsettias now through Nov. 15.Plants are available in 6-inch pots for $12 each and come in pink, red, white and jingle (varigated). Cost is $20 for plants in 8.5-inch pots and come in burgundy, red, pink and white.The plants, which come from Al's Nursery, will be delivered on Nov. 29.Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Dallas High wrestling team and help pay for gear and equipment.To place an order or for more information, contact any Dallas High wrestler or stat girl; Alice Bibler via email to DHSWrestling@ymail.com; or online at http://dhsboosterclub.schoolauction.net/poinsettias.

GNAC scheduled to add Concordia

PORTLAND -- Concordia University of Portland has accepted an invitation to become the 11th full-time member of the NCAA Division II Great Northwest Athletic Conference.The invitation is contingent upon Concordia being admitted into the NCAA's membership process. Concordia plans to apply to the NCAA by the upcoming Feb. 1 deadline.Concordia would join Western Oregon University as the second institution from Oregon in the GNAC.If accepted into the NCAA membership process, the Cavaliers would begin competing as a GNAC member in the fall of 2015.
