Extension offering    classes for youths    Polk County 4-H/OSU Extension Service is offering three more classes this month for youths as part of its Short Term Educational Programming (STEP). Membership in 4-H is not required to participate.    Ceramics 101 will be offered Wednesday (today) from 6 to 8:30 p.m. It is for youths in fourth grade and older. Cost is $3 for 4-H members, $5 for nonmembers.    Crochet for Beginners takes place Thursday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and is for students in sixth grade or older. Cost is $2 for 4-H members, $3 for nonmembers.    A Knitting/Crochet Help Night is planned May 29 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Cost is $2 for 4-H members, $3 for nonmembers.    For complete information or to register: 503-623-8395.    4-H summer camp    sign-ups under way    Polk County 4-H is accepting registration for three youth camps scheduled this summer.    The 4-H Junior Master Gardener Day Camps for grades K-4 takes place June 18-20 in Dallas and June 30-July 2 in Monmouth. Cost is $35; $30 if registered by June 4.    The 4-H Mini Camp, an overnight event for those completing grades 2-4, takes place June 15-17 at the 4-H?Center in West Salem. Cost is $75 if registered by May 23.    The 4-H Wild West Camp (overnight) runs July 14-19 at the 4-H Center in West Salem.
