RICKREALL — By popular demand, the Polk County Fair Exhibitor Book will be available in print this year. “We have heard the past several years from some of our exhibitors that they missed the printed fair exhibitor book,” said Anna Scharf, the Polk County Fair Board chairwoman. Printing the book is expensive, Scharf said, but a limited number of copies will be available this year in hopes of increasing entries. “Some of our open class entries have been decreasing the last few years,” said Tina Andersen, fair manager. “We know there are extremely talented people in Polk County and we would love to show off their talent at the fair.” The 40-page fair book classifies all of the possible areas for entries into the open class division of the fair, as well as special sponsored awards. Fair books will be located at Polk County libraries, various local businesses and can always be picked up at the fairgrounds office, 520 S. Pacific Highway (99W), Rickreall, during regular business hours. It is available online at www.co.polk.or.us, under the “fairgrounds” section. In addition, the OSU Extension office can assist with 4-H entry and exhibitor questions. For more information: 503-623-3048.
