DALLAS — The Polk County Interagency Narcotics Team (POINT) arrested a Dallas man on drug charges and found several grams of heroin and methamphetamine during a search of his home on Thursday. POINT detectives served a search warrant at 1141 SW Fairview Ave. in Dallas stemming from tips that began coming in at the beginning of May. During the search, detectives found 19.8 grams of heroin and 23.6 grams of methamphetamine, in addition to packaging and weighing supplies and a video surveillance system on the outside of the home. “Evidence also suggests that the sales of methamphetamine and heroin from this residence have been ongoing for some time, which has been a continual and substantial burden to the neighborhood and residents surrounding this house,” said Sgt. Mark Garton, POINT supervisor. Police arrested Calvin Craver, 27, who lived in the home, on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine; unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, a commercial drug offense; unlawful manufacture of a substantial quantity of methamphetamine; unlawful possession of heroin; unlawful delivery of heroin, a commercial drug offense; and unlawful manufacture of a substantial quantity of heroin. Craver is currently being held at the Polk County Jail on $654,000 bail.
