QUICK HITS: DHS’s Hatley earns 5A all-state honor

DALLAS — Logan Hatley, who recently completed his junior year at Dallas High School, has been named to the 2014 Class 5A all-state baseball team.    Hatley, a pitcher, received first-team all-state honors. He posted a 1.96 ERA during the season and recorded 88 strikeouts.    He allowed just 12 earned runs during league play in the tough Mid-Willamette Conference, and was named the league’s Pitcher of the Year.    Tanner Sanders, a senior first baseman from Crescent Valley of Corvallis, was selected 5A Player of the Year. Riley Moore, a senior from Sherwood, was named 5A Pitcher of the Year. Ryan Starwalt of Crescent Valley was chosen 5A Coach of the Year.
