DHS to host volleyball camps Aug. 11

DALLAS — There is still time to sign up for the Dragons Volleyball Youth Camp, scheduled Aug. 11-14 at Dallas High School.

The camp is open to boys and girls entering grades three through eight in the fall. It is aimed at familiarizing players with the skills, fundamentals and basic offenses and defenses used in the sport.

Dallas High coaches and current and former players will help lead the camp. Parents are welcome to watch.

The camp runs from 1 to 3 p.m. each day. Cost is $45 per camper.

DHS will also host a high school volleyball camp Aug. 11-14. It will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily and will work to prepare high school students for team tryouts. Guest coach Chuck Shannon, Dragons coaches, and current and former players will help lead the camp. Cost is $45 per participant.
