GRAND RONDE — Oregon State Police and the Polk County District Attorney's Office are continuing to investigate the Jan. 3 pedestrian versus car accident resulting in serious injuries to the pedestrian that occurred on Highway 18 near Grand Ronde.   Emergency workers responded at about 5 a.m. to a report of a man who was seriously injured after being hit by a car on the highway near milepost 18.    A preliminary investigation indicates that Gabriel Trujillo-Hernandez, 33, of Springfield was traveling westbound with passenger Lisa Dunnihoo, 31, of Eugene, when they stopped on the side of the highway.
