PREP VOLLEYBALL: County players receive honors

POLK COUNTY — Players from Dallas and Central high schools have been selected to the 2014 Mid-Willamette Conference all-league volleyball team.

Six members of the Dallas High squad received all-league honors, led by senior right-side hitter Chanel Bailey, who was named to the all-MWC first team in a recent vote of league coaches.

Senior setter Amanda Dankenbring, junior outside hitter Cambria Blair and senior libero/defensive specialist Danielle Remington, all from Dallas, received second-team all-MWC recognition, while senior middle hitter Briana Classen and junior middle hitter Yasmine El-Hato earned honorable mention.

For Central, junior setter Kylie Nash and senior all-around player Julia Kenyon earned second-team recognition. Freshman middle hitter Krista Omlid received honorable mention.

Lebanon outside hitter Grace Rivers and Corvallis setter Hannah Bogatin earned co-MVP honors.

Jorden Swanson of league-champion Lebanon was named Coach of the Year.
